Which lens V or H?

So I have a Hitachi HDPJ52, the question is which type of lens do I go with, Vertical or horizontal?

Thx,

It depends on a few things -

Your throw. If the projector needs distance to project a big image, but you don't have the room, than a HE will be better as it effectively shortens the throw allowing an image 33% wider at the given height.

Do you want to remove the lens or leave it in place all the time?

thx Mark,
Distance is no issue, I have plenty of room. And I'd prefer to leave the lens in place all the time, I'll be watching 2:35 movies or hdtv content (and mask the sides). I was hoping to put up a 117" wide 2:35 screen which aproximates a 106" 16x9 screen. Plus a 117" wide screen leaves me 2ft on either side of the screen.

So if you can project the full 117" width (in 16:9) you can use a VC. If not, but you can project the height needed, then use a HE...
