Wrong choices on crossovers. ( don't tell me a 3 inch Fountek crosses at 40. Try 120)
It will not let me set the crossover before eq.
No access at all to sub eq, yet that is the most important.
Only gives access to 10 ISO bands for eq, when XT does 16.
Insists on a 10 dB shelf for the sub. Can't even fool it out of existence.
Sounded like garbage.
Marantz tech support was very nice about it, but pretty much said you either like it or turn it off.
I am so unimpressed, I never tried any of the other features like dynamic eq ( we used to call that loudness), compression and other features. I doubt I would bother with XT 32. $1700 worth of sour grapes tends to slow me down.
Truth in advertising, I also returned an Emo 200. Among other more serious issues, it's auto eq was so bad my wife could comment on it from the other room. They DO let you change everything.
Audessy and implementers: OK, put in the defaults as everyone is not an engineer, but let me over-ride them if I know what I am doing as I am an engineer. I designed my speakers, so I know what the crossover should be and let me set it BEFORE the auto eq runs.Respect it. Give me manual control over all of it. A 61Hz octave wide eq setting does not help with the 54 Hz room mode most rooms have. Give me the choice if you are going to leave in some room gain. Don;t give me the "see your certified installer" routine.
