hello is any of the denon 4520, marantz 8801 ', integra 80.3 let you manually set your desire eq , with a PEQ, if yes how many bands, and also same quiestion for the subwoofers?
i have my measuring kit, and would like to get a receiver or processor, but dont want to spend top money right know.
.... or even the "hundreds of control points" offered by the lesser Audyssey MultiEQ XT. Using the sliders turns Audyssey off on some -- or all -- models, so, on these models, if you use the sliders at all you are no longer doing anything like room EQ. It's better to just run Audyssey, then use either separate tone controls (if they won't turn off Audyssey -- they don't on my Marantz AV7005) or, perhaps, Dynamic EQ to get a little closer to your preferences. The latter two can't be used at the same time. Don't take a dealer's word on this stuff. Instead check to make sure the Audyssey light stays on when you do your manipulations.
