Angles w/ High Power

Hello all, I am thinking about getting a High Power to go along w/ a Pearl. Screen size 133" and I am going to have 2 rows, so 4 outer seats. The front 2 have a 35 degree angle and the back 2 outer seats have a 22 degree angle. The other seats move closer and closer in. the 35 degree angle seats will be about 12 ft away and the back will be 20 ft away.

Will this screen work for my outer seats or is a 35 degree angle pushing it for a High Power?

Yes. It is pushing it. Gain will drop significantly at 35 degrees off axis.

any suggestions on a screen that gives a vibrant picture w/ that type of viewing angle? i have 8 other seats that are almost 180 degrees, so those 2 w/ 35 degree are not the center of attention.

Also when I measure the angle, I measure from the viewer to the center of the screen right? And when gain drops off, because this is a big screen. When sitting at those angles, will it be brighter on one side and darker on another? that is was really would annoy me.

I sold my HP and replaced it with a Vutec Silverstar. It has gain uniformity from any seat and my room is 15' wide. Not sure they make one as big as you want. The SS is the high gain winner for situations where you have wide seating.

As to your question, no the HP is not brighter on one side than the other. It has a uniform gain at these extreme angles however much less gain.

The SS made more impact on my image quality than any of the three projectors I owned.
