I don't know who to believe here the critics or the fans who seem to like the movie. I think I'm going to see this one in the theatre for myself.

If by excellent you mean crap, then yes. This movie sucks, plain and simple. I think it's at 29% rotten meter on rottentomatoes.

Rottentomatoes is usually pretty accurate so this movie must suck at least to a certain degree. However, with the cast involved (Ari Gold being the main man), I think many of us will enjoy this movie more than we should. But since you only made a reference to RT, something tells me you haven't even seen the movie yet and are simply trying to bash.

I don't always believe Rottentomatoes.

%76 for Superman Returns ?

saw the movie this past weekend. Yea...would most def pass on buying.

I was worried about this one. By the way it was marketed it reminded me a lot of when 3000 miles to Graceland came out and flopped.

Alicia Keys with a huge sniper rifle looks interesting.

My wife really wants to see this one...

I never understood why people base their viewing on Critics? Is it the money? Take a chance, walk-out if it's that bad...it's $10 CAN

What draw me in besides the great cast is the director who did Narc, great movie can't wait for Paramount's HD DVD release. It was nice to see Ryan Reynolds and Alicia Keys do something different...take note Beyonce! I'm watching it again sometime this week. Looking forward to Universal's release with Reference Quality & DOLBY TrueHD!

I enjoyed this movie!

But then again, I like quite a few movies that hardly anyone else does. I'll be buying this on HD DVD for sure!

Its a great movie its not so great that it was marketed as a huge action explosion when it is not, that is why people are let down by it.
Forget critics and marketing go see the film on your own terms

Its a good fun movie, 6/10. Regardless im still buying it because i could watch it over and over again.

I watched this last night..if you like graphic violence, explicit language, and plenty of off the wall characters then you will enjoy it. Think of true romance. I really enjoyed it, and would definitely buy the hd-dvd.

I just saw this in theaters last night. It was an allright movie. Some good action scences. But it tryed to go in about 10 diffirent directions all at once which lead to no devlopment of the plot. What little plot their was. A few holes.

But becase I love HDDVD ILL be buying it..

RT can be semi helpful as a guide, but not completely trusted.
Running Scared has a 39% - one of the best films of 2006 according to many here.

I do not understand why someone would buy a movie they really didn't care for just to support one of these corporations, whether it be Toshiba, Sony, Microsoft, etc?

Never had you make that remark in the BR section when your guys have said the same in the past.

Maybe he only owns an HD DVD player. If so, what else could he support?

It's not Alicia with the sniper rifle, it's her partner, the pregnant woman from Hustle & Flow. That gun is bad ass!

This movie was a lot of fun and very funny.

Silly troll, stopping in just to completely misinterpret something, as always. People love it and would buy a less than stellar movie because of the level of PQ/AQ HD-DVD allows us to experience in our homes. Short of being Stephen Speilberg in his million dollar home theater checking out a brand new studio print of his latest movie fresh from the developers, you can't beat HD-DVD!

Running Scared is in my top 10.

I liked it, and will buy it. But its not a critics movie by far. Evident between the difference between Critic ratings and user ratings. 36% and 72% respectively.
I thought it was a good movie, looking forward to the HD-DVD.
Alicia is one of the KEY reasons I'll probably buy it.
Rotten Tomatoes gave Crank 59%, and while I don't argue with the assessment, I absolutely loved that movie. Those mindless action flicks are my favorite, so Smoking Aces may be worth a purchase at least for me.

I might have considered buying it if it was up her behind

No, I think it's a fair score for Superman. It was a fun movie with some nice effects, nothing more than that
