I am thinking about getting a good receiver. I am not sure which one I choose either TX-SR674B or TX-SR804B. I am an newbie, so I was wondering if I can have some opinions.

I have an kds50a2000, PS3, Xbox360 and HD DVR Directv. My room is about 12x16. Which receiver would I benefit the most in both long and short term?

I am trying to make the smae decission. By the time I decide and get the money saved up the Pioneer will probably be fixed and be shipping with the update so I may add that to my short list as well.

I was faced with the same dilemma but chose the cheaper route.

I just got the TX-SR604B after returning my Panasonic 57 (couldn't get it to work via HDMI).
I hooked up my PS3 and my HD A1 and it works perfectly. Plenty of power in a 14 x22 room paired with Paradigm References. Setup was a breeze. I also tried my HD10-250 and it works perfectly as well. I have the Onkyo running to a SXR1. This will hold me over for a while until something new and better comes along. Can't recommend it high enough.
