I haven't been able to find anything on this forum or google that covers this. My ~ 3 yr old JVC display AV-32FA54 has developed an intermittent narrow black oval artifact. It seems independent of source, be it my DVD player, Tivo, VCR, or Mythtv frontend. Shows for a second or less each time it pops up. Not always exactly the same size or shape, but always oval (or roughly so) and always 'narrow' (that is, longer top-to-bottom). The frequency is getting worse ... used to be very intermittent, now much less so.
Any suggestions? JVC and others offer repair parts, but I'm a little vague on which part is broken / breaking. The TV is large/heavy enough that I think I'd prefer to not take it down to a shop.
