Daybreak (Online Episodes) Spoilers! Beware!

This is a thread to discuss the recently released online episodes. You should only look/post here after having viewed the 4 episodes dated 1/29/07. 4 more videos will be released in February and then we can discuss those after viewing them.

The main Daybreak thread is still there, I just don't want to ruin it for those that haven't watched the new eps yet.

The online eps can be viewed here

What does this have to do with HD?

I was pleased with the episodes...here are the things that Hopper needs to finish before his day is 'over'

1) Booth has to go down, I don't think his cronies will talk?
2) Someone higher up than Booth is still yet to be revealed. Hopper is right, a City Councilman doesn't have enough juice to pull these kinds of strings.
3) Garza's Wife's role has yet to be defined. Is she just being threatened? Or is she a part of it?
4) Gang War between the LDs and the Chinese?

Those are just a few off the top of my head.

I love the fake ending. It worked. A little anti-climactic but it worked out well and tied up a bumch of loose ends. What the heck are they going to do in the next 4 episodes.

Moved, for lack of a better place, here.

Gee thanks Ken. I put all current non HD TV shows in the "cable tv, non-hd forum" unless the discussion is specific to DVD PQ and issues.

Yeah, the thread Nazi's stepped in and moved it from the HD forum. How this impacts their world I have no idea. But there is a link in the original Daybreak thread linking here...just seems like noones talking :-(

anybody knw when the next episode is airing? By the way badddd move on moving this thread, just let it live in the hd forum! who cares if its not HD, 99% of that forum isnt HD related, its just talking about the shows, its more like a 'tv shows' forum then an hd forum.

Probably 2/11 (Sunday night or Monday am)...last ep was 2/4.

Be forewarned: in episode 12, the segment between the second and third commercials and the segment from the third commercial to the end seem to have been transposed. It jumps from the middle of Day 1 to some point in a subsequent re-living of the day and then eventually reverts back to the point at which it left off. Or, at least, that's what I think happened; it gets very muddled when you're seeing scenes before you've seen the new information and changes in the timeline that led to them.

I'll chime in, the online ep as posted is essentially unwatchable. Everything is out of sequence, and you will get spoilerized within 10 minutes on subjects that shouldn't play out until later in the ep. Let's hope they repost it in the correct order so we can enjoy it.

Ok, a friendly fellow over in the main thread gave the timestamps and order for each part, so I finally got a chance to view it in order.

Decent ep...the Rita storyline is really just filler though. It has nothing to do with the BIG picture.

Let's hope they wrap everything up next week with a BIG BANG!

It has SOMETHING to do with the big picture. So many people involved in her storyline with her brother are involved in the conspiracy. Dettweiller (the 'your actions have consequences' guy) and the sherriff/ex-sheriff/hired gun to name two.

The only reason Rita was involved was as leverage on Hopper. They wanted her to lie about Brett's whereabouts that night, and used her father's murder as leverage. When she didn't cooperate, they killed her and videotaped it in order to convince Brett to confess.

A minor part to play in a very BIG conspiracy.

What is interesting is that once Hopper told Rita about the time-repeating thing, she woke up the next day acting differently, calling the police on him... as if what he told her affected her behavior in all the following days. In the early episodes he'd get up and shave while Rita was still in bed, now she always gets up immediately and goes for the phone.

And the ABC management are idiots for pulling this off the air mid-stream. They could have at least given it another time slot or something.

It's just the opposite of what happened with Hopper's partner. Over the course of their day she came to trust Hopper and realize that she needed to put her bf in rehab and confess to IA. When she woke up she forgot WHY she felt that way, but she still felt that way.

Rita's day with Hopper made her not trust him and feel that he was hiding something from her...she woke up still feeling that way.

From the ABC Website:

Premiering Wed. 2/28
only on ABC.com
"What If It's Him"

SERIES FINALE! Hopper's day of reckoning finally is in sight and the answers to his questions are within his reach - but will he live to see the end of his repeating day.
It's Wednesday - no new episode. But I guess the day isn't over yet....
I had no idea they were showing the remaining episodes online. This is great news, but I was wondering if there was a way to display it in fullscreen. I want to watch them off my Samsung LCD hooked up to the PC.

Still no final episode. WTF?
Come on ABC, just let us get this over with!
Are they intentionally trying our patience?

Kind of anti-climactic but I guess no matter what they did it was going to be that way. So who was that at the end, Garza?
