S590 stutters with TiVo (R10)

I've got my R10 plugged into the R340 receiver via optical and noticed that the sound cuts in and out randomly. I believe this happens in both DD5.1 and regular stereo movies. Has anybody else had a problem like this? Could this be the cable? Maybe a signal strength problem with my dish? This stuttering only happens with the R10. Everything else (dvd, OTA HD, etc....) works flawlessly without any stuttering at all. Any thoughts?

First I would try swapping inputs and calbe to see if it's a problem with that specific optical inpput or cable, doubtful but worth checking. If those pass it's got to be something with the R10, have you ever used the optical out from it before on another receiver? did it work ok?

Nah, I've never used the optical out from the R10 before. I'll try to swap the cables and inputs when I get home this evening, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was simply the R10. Maybe it's too slow and dumb to output consistent audio? : P
