how many of you were successful in getting BB to sub a disc on the above list with another that wasn't on it?
I got in on the last one and am pleased with the 2 I chose.

BHD & U:E

No way am I getting TFE or HoFD considering that they are thought to be Tier 4 on the Master List.

into the blue and...? maybe house just to trade in. hopefully there's a deal with tax software like last time that we now would know how to use. last time it was free $20 dvd with tax software, so youd buy the software, $20 bluray and still get one for free

Buy one from the list and get another from the list of equal or lesser value free.

I picked up 4 last time but I'm going to have to skip this round. Hopefully we see more sales like this.
Is that the entire list?
Aww c'mon, Last time I said whatever and picked up House of Flying Daggers. But now all I dont have from that list is Click and Fifth Element, one movie which sucks, and another which has a horrible transfer. Even the cheap price can't make me get those.

Why do you mess with us BestBuy, Why??
Nice to know this, but i'll past on these.
horrible list....

Only these titles guys. Wonder if this is good or bad news for BR....

And I will be using the PS3 $10 rebate on Underworld!

I love these deals. Here's the loop hole folks.......

Gift receipts.

Get one and after the sale ends bring back the movie(s) and swap them out for something you really want.

Works everytime, and not just with games, and movies.

Cheers.

Hmmm,

Clever,

I don't know if it will REALLY happen but Sony said it's re-do-ing The Fifth Element and you will be able to trade in the release that's out now.

I have underworld from the last sell. Still sealed and still have the receipt. So, if I go in today and say hey I want to exchange this. That can't deny me? Thanks

I could be wrong, but I think you have to ask for the gift reciept when you buy the movie, then you say that someone gave you the movie as a gift, but you only have the gift reciept.

I am not sure if it would work with the original reciept that shows buy one get one free on it.

I guess that wasn't much help...sorry

I say try to take it back, and let us know how it goes.

Yeah, you should have to ask for a gift receipt when you actually make the purchase...unless you can find a BB employee who doesnt pay that much attention to the details

I am wondering this...let's say that you go in and buy 1, get 1 free and ask for a gift receipt...Won't the gift receipt only be valid for the price of ONE movie, not both? I am thinking that you might have to at least keep one of the titles on the list.

For those that have avoided House of Flying Daggers due to bad reviews, I would ask that you reconsider. I too was hesitant to pick it up due to all the bad press and already having a very nice 2-disc Edko R3 version of the film. I am a huge fan of genre and Asian cinema, so I said, what the heck, it's only $12.50 after the deal.

I was pleasently surprised with the disc. It is soft at times, but I am now thinking that it may have something to do with camera focus in addition to transfer issues. Certain close-up shots are super sharp and what you would expect with proper 1080P transfer. The audio was solid with perhaps best use of surrounds among all transfers (Drum dance sequence has been my demo for surround system since I got the original SD DVD), and even the plain DD sound very good in comparison to DTS ES on SD DVD (I can't play uncompressed PCM surround with my PS3 setup).

With the current promotion, it's a no brainer IMHO, especially if there is another disc in the list that you are considering.

Click and Monster House for me! To be exchanged for good titles aftewards!

Canada always misses out on these deals.

Guess I'll be getting Into The Blue
I ordered six of these online during the last sale. I was at BB within 20 minutes of completing the online order. When I arrived at the store, the online order was not in their system yet. So, they looked at my receipt & fulfilled the order. They forgot to tell the system I picked up my disc's........

Few days later I received an e-mail my order was cancelled. I received all six for free.
I nabbed four last time...

Will probably grab the same this time... but with Gift Receipts !

Think you can return more than one ?
Even if you have gift receipt, don't you think that their system will still show up with the original amount for each on the receipt? I always thought all sales are tracked by the sales/gift receipt.

I might have to reconsider purchasing HOFD. I also have the 2 disc R3 Edko version, and have heard great things about the uncompressed PCM sound on the BR version; the full bandwidth DTS sound was awesome on the Edko version. Only if I could find another movie on that list that I would be willing to pick up...

Just do it. Blu-ray is noticibly sharper with better color fidelity compared to R3 SD DVD.
