New Live Arcade games coming!

Paperboy ranks as one of the most difficult games to play WITHOUT the propriatary handlebar controller.

The isometric view just doesn't feel right when using a joystick......using the handlebars was the only way to make it feel "right" to me. With a joystick I always, always wind up crashing into something.

Why not NBA JAM!?

I want Turtles in Time or the original TMNT. That would be great online. The X-Men game and Simpsons 4 player arcade games were great too.

mini golf... hmm has intriguing potential. Hadn't thought of that one. But where is the trac ball controller? This would be very nice indeed...

Worms is a definite purchase for me. Love that game.
I've bought very very few arcade games and there's a few on the list that will be blind buys for me. Worms, Castlevania, Alien Hominid.

I'm waiting for the Aerosmith shooting game for XBLA!
I wonder why Root Beer Tapper has been taking so long...
Probably because the game isn't any fun after 5 minutes?

I NEED VIOLENCE.

TMNT and X-men games = great choice.

Also any of the side-scrolling beat-em-ups. The Capcom ones for example...like Final Fight or the later ones like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Alien Versus Predator and so on.

hey i had that atari game! When I was just a wee little sloth (before I had my face smashed in with a frying pan by my older sister). It was hard! Cabal would be the game I want the most, but most of you don't even remember it.

Dude, I actually played this arcade game at the movie theatre all the time back in the day! It was pretty good and would be cool to see on Xboxlive.

I don't usually speak ill of arcade classics, especially those from good ol' Midway, but to this day the Journey arcade remains one of my least favorite coin-op games ever. I kind of liked the Tron-like aspect of choosing your mini-game, but unlike Tron, none of the mini-games were good enough to stand on their own, and I was no fan of the controls either. That didn't stop me from blowing tons of quarters on the game, mind you.

I'm sure it doesn't help that I also despise Journey (except for Wheel in the Sky, which is an awesome song).

anyone remember the game IKARi WARRIORS?
Is that out anywhere on Arcade?

Great co-op game back in the day.

Honestly, do any of these titles have any meaning other than Castlevania.

I remember IW and its sequel Victory Road pretty well. They're not on Live Arcade, but Assault Heroes plays pretty similar.

Heavy Barrell was even better!

Ikari would be tough to emulate (just like on mame cabs) because it requires a spinning joystick....although I suppose you could fudge it with the twin sticks and triggers being used for Grenades and Firing.

Time Warriors would also be sweet, using the same control scheme. And of course, Total Carnage...the kinda sorta followup to SmashTV....

YES!!! Me and my coworkers were reminiscing about games we used to love and when I brought that game up no one had a clue what I was talking about.

If it makes you feel any better Sega wants to bring Streets of Rage to XBLA.

I think it was Revolution X.

I'm seriously voting for Maniac Mansion.

WHAT?!

See this is what I was talking about earlier about the lack of games and why they don't release a ton of games. I understand all the licensing jargon and complications, but this is so dumb

I loved Revolution X back in the day. I agree with you on Maniac Mansion too. That game was awesome! I had it for NES and for some reason it scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. That crazy nurse and that guy with his hamster freaked me out. (Although it was fun to cook it in the micrwoave. )
