Curving a 16:9 screen?

I've read a lot of comments about curving screens, but all that I've found are referring to 2.35:1 screens. So, my question is this: Are there any benefits to curving a 16x9 screen? If so, how much?

I'm planning a 60"x107" Wilsonart DW screen.

Unless you are using a crt there is no need to curve a 16:9 screen. The reason people are curving their 2.35 screens is because they are using anamorphic lenses which causes some slight edge distortion which is corrected by curving the screen.

Ok, that makes sense. I thought it was to direct more light back at the seating area. Thx.
