My mama got a Toshiba 62MX195 and Mediacom Digital Cable for the now needed HD programs. My papa and I spent a lot of time fighting with Mediacom getting it working perfectly. But alas, the digital cable (mainly the HD) coming through our DVR/Receiver box thing was finally perfect. Curse you, Mediacom, and your lack of documentation on your hardware!

All was well until papa learned about DTV. Although knowing it would not replace our Mediacom Digital Cable as our source for Sexy HD, mama still felt we needed to pursue the chance to get more sexy HD channels. So papa went back to work.

My papa set up an antenna that was initially in our 1st level of our garage into our 2nd level of our garage to get a better reception. My dad also put in some ancient thing that rotates it remotely. So, papa hooks the antenna up using coaxial cable to the 62MX195 in order to get the sexy DTV. But when the sexy DTV came in, it had a really odd distortion. I have a couple of pictures of it but I can't post it until I get 5 posts.... so it just looks like the detail is missing. Sometimes it's flawless, but usually it's distorted. Also, signal strength is consistently high.

Papa doesn't know if it's the antenna, the coaxial cable (well I think that, he doubts it), or the TV. Isn't some converter thing required or something? Meh, if you have any information to finx my (our) complete lack on knowledge, that'd be great. Thanks. Really, I barely know what I'm talking about. Thanks for reading!
