1080p camcorder?

The new Canon HV20 coming out in April will do 1080P24, same type of 1080P you get with BD or HD-DVD movies.

Does it have xvYCC like the new ones coming from sony in april?

I wonder what the price of the new Canon will go for?

Of course there are like no TV's on the market that can accept 1080/24p. Saw a few at CES (pioneer) but there still a little ways off and will be initially expensive.

That 'deep color' that the Sonys will offer will do nobody any good unless they have an HDMI 1.3 compliant display. I'm not aware of any such displays on the market now. Additionally, as is often the case with anything HDMI, we don't even know if 'deep color' means anything of any significance. The HDMI group does a great job with 'marketing hype' and less so with delivering tangible results.

However, something like Canon's 'instant autofocus' is real and does work better than anything out there today.

Pioneer's plasmas from the xx70 and PRO-xx40 Series already accept 1080p/24.

Now, whether 1080p actually matters or not is a different matter...

My Sony projector accepts 1080/24p.

So does my 6th gen Pioneer plasma.
