NAS Networked Drive for EyeTV archive?

will a lacie ethernet disk mini shared between two macs work for an EyeTV archive location? The recordings will be OTA HD streams so the network would need to stream up to 20 Mb/s. I figure this way, I can store all my EyeTV programs in one location and share them between computers/tv locations.

anyone have this setup?

I don't know if it will work, but I'm considering doing the same but with a gigabit NAS. I don't see why it wouldn't work, although the constant buffering of the hardware may clutter up the network with a bit of traffic.

I can't tell you if it will work with a NAS (this is going to be my next purchase as well), but I can tell you that it will work without a hitch over a 100 Mbit/s network connection. I have two Mac Minis connected via 100 Mbit ethernet, one of them holding the EyeTV archive, and the other one accessing it using EyeTV and sometimes VLC. Playback, FWD, REV all work as if the archive was local.
