Using the Onkyo S590 as a component switch

I've run out of component inputs on my TV, so I was planning to use the S590 to switch the video lines.
Are there any issues of degrading PQ using it?
I'd be mostly using 480p and sometimes 720p.

Thanks Mike

I couldn't tell any difference in running component straight to the TV or through the receiver. I'm sure if you were somehow able to measure the signal strength electronically there would be a difference, because of the extra link in the chain, but to my eyes there was no difference. Some say different, I guess it just has to do with the equipment used and if you get 2" from the TV with a magnafying glass.

Anyone else try using the 590 as a component switch?
I still haven't gotten around to getting 3 sets of cables yet....

I don't have the 590, but I used the 790 as a switch and then routing direct to the TV. Didn't see a difference, either, at least as far as the signal chain was concerned. I can't imagine the 590 being too different.
