Looks nice, I have to update my pic as I have gone with a different Pio. Good thing to do tonight since I have no plans.

More pictures. . . .

Nipper is in the background in one picture.

The one with the piano shows one of the surround speakers above the piano. The piano is a Yamaha Disklavier Gran Touch, which is connected to the entire sound system and plays accompaniment to music CD's.

Here is my apartment...I'm just a college student, I cannot afford a big and lavish house yet I cannot wait to put my set up in a bigger room, dedicated to HT, and install everything properly.

you're a college student with a Pioneer, Denon, and B&W's?

I want your life. :P

Awesome setup. One question though, how do you keep both your glass shelves and display from rattling when watching something with alot of bass? That would drive me nuts.

Thanks. It would drive me nuts, too. However, I've never had a problem with the glass rattling, even though the speakers are capable of putting out a lot of bass.

Those speakers look like Klipsch to me, not B&W.

Regardless, I agree. I didn't even have a HDTV in college, much less a Pioneer plasma.

yeah lets just say that I used to work at best buy and got a ridiculous deal on everything. Some people have drugs, gambling, cars...I have home theater
post #430 of 534
lol, nice. I worked at Best Buy when I was 20 but I never got that lucky

fsz2>me

hahaha...I would love to have some 82's in the front and rear, as well as that velodyne sub. I am only rocking a rw-10d and an 8" paradigm...and your pio is bigger than mine. DAMN YOU!!!!

EDIT: what denon do you have?
I've decided to hide all equipment in a closet behind my seating. I really like the clean look but it needs something. Not sure what to do yet. The color of the walls here is in no way this orange and it's much more muted.

I'd say some sort of nice dark wooden cabinetry, that would fill the void below the tv and look great in the room.
yeah you definitely need SOMETHING below it. Even if it's just a short slim table with a couple candles or something.
Vidpro,
What if you put your center channel below the display? Or even like a 48" floating shelf pretty easy to make or you can pick one up at Lowes, HD or target pretty reasonable and they look pretty good. Just some thoughts, still very nice, clean setup though. I'm in the middle getting all of my stuff setup.

What speakers are those?
Yeah it needs something. I'm trying to avoid the whole cabinet thing again because if you look a few pages back you will that's what I had before. Small low table might be nice but I also have a cat that is fond of acting like a cat.
VidPro...is that a Pioneer TV? I can't read the name tag on the TV. sry...
Yeah it's 111.
Oh okk...looks weird w/o speakers. But good set up just wondering, the hole set up is wireless or wires are behind the wall?
Wires are in the wall. The speakers are Klipsch RVX-42 LCR's

989 the "college" version of the 2809 lol.

Aren't they the exact same aside from a CI port on the back? I think they are the same price if I am not mistaken. I got the 2809 simply because of the deal I could get on it. If I could have gotten the 989 for cheaper, I would have in a second.

Thanks. The cabinet is the BDI Marina. The speakers are the original B&W THX Home Cinema speakers. I got them in 1994, and they still sound fantastic. I believe that they were modified versions of the 800 Matrix series. The one quirk about them is that the subwoofers are unpowered, so I had to get separate amps for them.
Well thanks for the infos
BDIs seems to be a good choice

Here is the most recent version of my setup. I just bought a house a month ago and finally have a proper place for my HT gear.

Two quick pics:

Pioneer Elite PRO-151
Denon 3805 - soon to be replaced by a Yamaha 3900
Martin Logan Source Fronts
Martin Logan Matinee Center
Martin Logan Abyss Sub
Rears aren't setup yet, b/c the back of the room is open to the kitchen and the ceiling is two stories tall so no in ceilings.
PS3 for BD Playback
Directv HR22 HD DVR
XBOX 360
Monster Power Center
BDI ICON Stand

It looks like almost everyone here has a Kuro. Makes me feel lowly and cheap with my Panny 850u

Maybe the thread title has something to do with it: "Pics of your Pioneer setup?"
I just got my Pro 151 a couple of weeks ago, so I thought I would post up and share a few pictures of my set up. Loving it!!!!!!
