I know the 360 can play wmv hd files

what is the best program to incode/transcode into wmv-hd

I have some .mkv files that are 720p and would like to play it on my 360 since my XBOX 1 cant play it over 2 fps

I have tried to play it on mt 360 but it wont play it

I figure it can play wmv-hd so can I reincode it into that and play it on my 360?

Tversity is supposed to be able to play them if you have a fast PC and good network connection, you just need certain splitters and filters, all outlined on www.tversity.com.

I use Encode360. Google it. I don't have enough posts yet to post the link.

Tversity is not good at converting HD unless you have a really fast PC.

If you know how to use Graphedit you can demux the mkv file into audio and video and then remux it back into wmv. I'd imagine it's much faster than reencoding it and it's lossless.
