Per David Moore of Resonant Engineering/Destijl, the 01 series had XBL^2 motors - link. Below are the T/S parameters that I have saved over the years. And there never was a 1501 or 1801. Just 10" and 12" versions.

thanks fellas. here's more.........

how are these for a HT setup? legend has it that these used to be the best of the best for a home sub. what size should i shoot for if powered with a 350 watt amp?? i would really like to go for a double tuning ( 2 ports open = somewhere between 24 - 28Hz and 1 port plugged up= something in the realm of 17 - 21Hz) but if i had to do just 1 tuning for music/movies 80/20, which tuning should i shoot for?

Dual tuning and a 350w amp. Are you planning on using the Rythmik with the selectable SSF?

They model very well in home theaters. I've only played around a little with my 1001's and 1201. Nothing serious. From reading multiple forums over the years, the 03 series requires much more than 350w to get it going.

As for "best of the best", not really. They are always a great value. They some from the same build house that used to supply SVS with their ISD driver. And finding out that I had some XBL^2 equipped subs was a nice surprise.

I can vouch that an 1803 with the 350 watt Rythmik is a VERY good combination. Yes, it can take more power but I dont need it any louder. On the other hand, the 12" and 15" may need a bit more power since they werent quite as efficient as the 18".

I drove my 1503 with a Adire ADA 1200 (1200 watts clean into 4 ohms) - large ported enclosure...
I don't think 350 watts would have been nearly enough.

'nice to hear from you, Kyle.
