I am setting up a new Home Theater system. I ordered a Sony 52" KDL-52XBR3 LCD TV and Oppo DV981HD DVD player. Both should arrive late next week. I will connect a Charter HDDVR set top box to TV via HDMI and Oppo DVD player to TV via HDMI. I have a 3+ year old Bose Lifestyle 25 Series II audio system. This Bose system works well and sounds great. I don't want to upgrade the audio system at this time. My question is should I run Audio out from the TV and DVD player directly to the Bose as separate sources and select them as required or should I run the audio output from the TV to the Bose as a single source? What method will produce a better home theater experience or is there another better way to do this?
