I tried the M-AUDIO StudioPro 3's and they sounded good, but were not quite loud enough. I also tried the M-AUDIO DX4's, but it seems I got someone else's return (box was obviously opened). They cracked and popped when I turned them on and something seems seriously wrong with them.
Any ideas for a powered speaker loud enough for a bedroom? I have a Sonos ZP80 in there and just want something that can get reasonably loud and sound reasonably good for $200 or less. I am able to grab some Yamaha HS50M's for $250 new. Would these do the trick? Any other ideas?
