As of tomorrow we're finally done with Frontier. During all of the years we had Verizon Phone/TV/Broadband; not one single issue. Our problems began the month Frontier took over. Like many here, I've posted numerous times on this and on other AVS threads as well as other forums about our experiences.
A majority of our issues with Frontier have been with their billing errors...dozens and dozens of billing errors. I've been on the phone with their "customer support" almost every month this past year due to errors, lost credits, payments not being posted, auto-pay being dropped, etc. Their CSR's are poorly trained and often helpless. I actually feel sorry for some of them...the CSRs that didn't "accidentally" drop my call after they couldn't answer my questions that is.
The only reason we stayed this long is due to Frontier's Customer Retention offering us credits that totaled a little more than $100/mo. $40 of that runs out in August and I don't intend to go begging again. The past three months we've only gotten $15 of the total credits we're supposed to receive and every time I call they swear they'll get it corrected. We do get the credit but then it's missing on the very next statement. The last gentleman I spoke to said and I quote: "The new billing system doesn't like the old codes so it just kicks them off sometimes.
" Really? And that's okay? Does anyone there care? I didn't say those last things, but based on our experience it's apparent that the answer is "no".
In any case, we're switching back to Comcast today. We loved Verizon and I'll miss FiOS for a number of reasons, but Frontier has done nothing but trash the business they bought. They've never fulfilled their commitment to the regulating agencies that approved the sale and everything a group of us told the MACC
would happen has come to pass. Besides the horrendous billing and sometimes customer service they have no local offices and their website is a joke. This is positively the worst company we've ever had to deal with...and we had Qwest once!
We've had Comcast on and off over the years and they aren't perfect either...but they'd have to work very hard to match Frontier's dreadful business.
Goodbye Frontier Communications...and good riddance!Edited by richsadams - 7/12/12 at 1:34am
