Hey guys. I'm new to this forum. I was wondering if you guys could recommend a good entry level HD camcorder. Preferably something that can record directly to an internal hard drive. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Justin

The upcoming JVC HD Everio GZ-HD7 is equipped with a 60GB built-in hard drive. If shooting in the Full HD High quality mode, the user will able to record up to five hours of full HD 1920x1080i while recording at a maximum variable bit rate of 30Mbps(MAX) Mbps.

If hard drive is not a must then the CAnon HV-20 would be a good choice.

Be sure and do a lot of research in the different storage methods. And be sure of your needs after shooting.
Do you want to edit?
Do you want the method with the best PQ?

DVtapes are what most people end up using or wishing they had chosen. I wanted anything BUT DVtapes, yet I found out they are the best at this point in Camcorder technology.

Do a lot of googling and reading here.
