Expert on everything? certainly not. I am not an expert on anything, I have just owned several infinity subs, the PS12, the alpha 1200s and the IL120s. I paid $130 for the interlude sub and sure, it was bargain, and it fulfilled my HT's need for a sub. However, if we are talking about anywhere near retail prices, infinity subs are nothing special (some are a little embarrassing in fact, but many other brands have subs that are even worse). The only reason I could see someone getting one would be in order to match their set speakers or because they got a great deal on it. With the prices from the audio video source, infinity subs start to get competitive again though, even with the "holy grail" of subs around here HSU and SVS, they just don't play as deep.
BTW, I wouldn't entirely discredit me due to my recent high post count, I am not here to get into fights about anything, just to learn and share. If you look, I actually did my own tests and have shared some of the results, (as rudimentary as they may be). I am on break right now and all my buddies who have lives are gone, I am raising money for next quarter's classes, which means babysitting a bunch of cars at the valet booth at the Cincinnati airport all night, there isn't much to do there but surf, so I guess your stuck with me till classes start again on monday.
