Hello all, I'm new here and need a new Receiver. I dont care what name it is as long as it hooks up to my ps3 blu-ray player. Right now I own a Sony STR-D665 Receiver from 1993 or so. It's really out dated and it's making me feel like im missing out on my blu-ray movies and games.

I have 5 Bose speakers that were $899.00. I take it I wont have to replace them right ?

I have about $600 to spend.

Please help. I just looked the sony im using now is only worth 10.00 lol

ps-I dont know if this matters but i cant use hdmi with my tv I can only use component but I will be buying a 1080p tv with hdmi later on this year.

I realize this is likely a wild-hare chase because your post is three years old, but do you still have your Sony STR-D665? If so, would you sell it? I own a 1996 Holiday Rambler RV which has that tuner installed in the AV system. Mine just failed. Since the install location is a specific size, it would be easiest to replace with the same unit.

I also realize it's years old, but if I can find an identical replacement unit that still works, it would be the simplest way to do a fix.
