A co-worker of mine just dumped his Direct TV and was throwing out his Tivo boxes. I nabbed them before they hit the dumpster planning on scavonging the hard drives. Before I canabalize them, just wondering if there is any other use for a DirecTV Tivo.

Seems too clumsy for a doorstop, too low of density for a boat anchor, and I don't have a lot of papers blowing around; so I guess I'll pull the hardrives and see if they have any life left to them.

I have a pristine condition dual-tuner DirecTiVo with 2x40GB drives.

I have been wondering if anyone would pay for it or what it could be used for. I know, search eBay.

Any other suggestions?

Craigslist or ebay?

I purchase DirecTivo's from thrift stores for 15-30 bucks and get about 80 for them on craigslist.
