Running coax around door frame?

Hello. I have a problem: the route from our TV to our coax cable jack is between a door, and hiding the cable isn't a problem until we reach the door. I have used double-sided tape to secure the coax around the door frame (which is white, just like the cable), but it doesn't last.

What is the best way around this? Our home is new, and I don't want to destroy it already, but moving our TV is not an option. It is in the ideal spot.

Do you have an attic above the room or a basement below?

There are lots of options if you do.

Is the door to a closet? If it is, look to see if there is a carpet seam at the doorway and tuck it in under the carpet. Since it is a closet, you wouldn't need to worry about foot traffic.

You can carefully pry off the casing around the door (the trim) lay it in there, and replace the casing, finish nails, caulk, paint, done.

You may need to dig a channel in the drywall, but it will all be covered by the casing again.

If you don't want to take anything apart (or put it back together again) and you don't mind seeing the cable, then you can just buy some cable clips from Home Depot. Something like this but in white:
