Kid Icarus

Well I went ahead and dropped $5 on this game. Does it get better further down the road? It is downright frustrating to fall and die and start at the beggining every time.

Blast form the past, used to love that game. I'll have to load it up on my psp.

Kid Icarus is like a cult favorite in that many like it, but really it isn't some mainstream hit exactly. I still can't remember if I finished it, but my fiend claims I did finish it as a kid. That he watched me finish it. So i dunno. Maybe I used a code to skip some though.

Many speciulated that a Wii version of it is being made.

So excited to d/l this game tonight.

It's definitely an old-style game. Very unforgiving, very repetitive. If it came out today, it would be considered abysmally bad. I did have fun playing it twenty years ago, though (I've still got the cart). I'd recommend it if you like that kind of game and know what you're buying.

Old NES games were so TOUGH. On reflexes especially. Games today are not even close to as difficult as a few back then. There are many from back then I never even finished.

Can you still get the shopowners to drop the prices by pressing a button on controller #2, or am I remembering a different game?

Right game...but I don't think you can. I heard Nintendo took some bugs out of the game for this version, like some of the codes you could use to make the game easier or make yourself invincible.

Damnit, and I just purchased it for my wife. She's been waiting for this one since she heard about the VC. The game needs a bit of "easying"- 'cuz I remember the difficulty being pretty high on it.

Yes, you can still drop shop keepers prices (not the black market guy though). You have to press A + B on controller one. Not buttons 1 and 2. Also, if you go to gamefaqs (I can't post the url for whatever reason, but I hope it's a good one!), they have some codes there to start you on level 1-1 fully equiped and powered up, should make it easier. Finally, older codes do not work.

So there ARE new codes! I didn't even look. Thank you dmd.

Also, you cannot post URL's until you have 5 posts- prevents some spamming.
