Hi, My first post I believe. I build a Screen made from a Foam poster board. It has a bit of hot spotting which I believe is from the slightly shiny finish of the material. It is only noticable with a bright white screen, I usually watch sci-fi movies so that would be almost never. A matte finish would be better. The board cost about 20$ from pearl paint in NYC. You can probably get them anywhere. It is about an 1/2 thick. I have built a few different screens using art frame strethcers and screen material from rosebrand. I built this screen in order to use my soundpads. They cost like 20$ as well, so this set up is under 50. I have a super t-amp and I have the sound coming from the screen itself. The sound is great, although it lacks a strong bass. I need to play with placement of the pads to get a better sound. Right now I have a front L/R set up. A 5.1 set up will come soon. Does anyone else use soundpads?
