HTPC Troubleshooter Needed

Thread Starter
I give up, basically. I'm willing to pay the going rate to an HTPC expert, preferably somewhere in South Florida, to troubleshoot my HTPC for bugs which are causing crashes, DLL warnings, out of memory warnings, loss of audio...the littany goes on (finally free of stuttering and funny motion, though!)

Any takers? Can you recommend someone? Because frankly I lack the time and patience for dealing with this on my own. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dave:

___I do not know what type of chipset you are using but if you are using an I815E/EP of some sort, they are only able to cache 512 MB’s. I am sure you meant 64 MB of SDRAM, right?

___Secondly, more details. Did you do the build from scratch? How about OS? What Creative video card are you using? Which drivers are you using? Keep your build clean and simple at first. A good build practice is to never install the old drive built off of an older chipset into a new system with a newer chipset. It can work but I would not recommend it. With all the items you are describing, format and reinstall the OS from scratch.

___Good Luck
