Was wondering if there's a Harmoney remote control model that works really well with the Motorola Multi-room type DVR .. How many of the features would it support ? [ie, programming, FF, Rewind, etc.]

My understanding is that all Harmony remotes access the same online database when populating the remotes with their commands. So my answer would be "all of them". I have the multi room system and the main unit is Motorola DCX 3400M. I have the Harmony 550 remote and during setup I just put in that model number, updated the remote and it works great. It even programmed a 30 second skip function which the Charter remote does not have as far as I can tell.

anyone else having problems with the nfl redzone channel not working today? I just have the static white screen saying it will begin at 12CST. It looks like all the other sports channels I get along with redzone seem to be working fine though.

Umatter,

Are there any known issues with Logo? I noticed last night that it wasn't coming in and my TiVo went directly to the cable card screen when I went to that channel. At first I thought it was the card, but I have two TiVo's and it's the same on both. This also happens on the TCMX channel also.

I have a Tivo Series 3 with two cable cards and a tuning adapter. I am currently getting the cable card gray/black screen when I tune to all HBO and Movie Channel channels (both SD and HD). Like RustySTL, Logo (630) isn't coming in either. Since these channels are not coming in on either cable card, it seems more likely a tuning adapter or broader Charter issue. I also have the Motorola multi room set-up and all channels are fine there. I have a service call scheduled for Monday but thought I would continue to troubleshoot until then. Checking to see if any others are having similar issues.

Umatter was able to help me and the channels come in fine now and I didn't need a service call. Definitely a big help, Umatter!!

Same issue here along with the Showtime channels as MIA. Telephone support gave up after sending a signal didn't react the "way it's suppose to".

One tuner shows the cable card screen when landing on an affected channel, the other tuner is just grey with an occasional frozen frame of video.

There a truck roll on Monday, but sure hope UMatter can work their magic for me as well. Too much good TV on channels I'm paying for that I can see!

Wow FSMW pop up adverts from the Blues clock/scoreboard are really annoying. If I wanted constant screen intrusions I'd use the Internet.

What kind of DCX box does Charter offer with its Multi-Room DVR service? The 3400 or the 3501? I want the 3501 because it has a 500 GB hard-drive. The 3400 is only 250. According to posts on this forum, Charter is offering the 3501 in other markets.

I don't use my sd cable box anymore since i switched to windows media center with a tv antenna on one tv. I want to keep using the 2 tivoes with cables cards. how much would i save if i returned the sd box to charter?

also worry if i return the sd box they might think I'm canceling cable and deactivate my cable cards.

You can but a 1 tb wd dvr expander for your dvr. They work with most dvrs. but cable companys can block there use. umatter should know if charter allows there use.

My tivo could not record some channels. and my tuning adaptor was blinking. I unpluged the tuning adaptor and plugged it and it fixed it. I had to do this 2 times. monday and tuesday i think.

does charter know about this problem? It seems to be working fine now

I have one TiVo that will and the other one won't. I've tried rebooting the TiVo and the tuning adapter, but neither helps. Both used to record suggestions before the tuning adapter were installed.

The only reason I use the suggestions is to judge how much space is left on the TiVo...usually I'm already recording everything that I want to watch.

My tivo stopped recording tivo suggestion a week after the tuning adapter started working I think charter is blocking the use of tivo suggestions to save bandwidth. Still wonder why tivo suggestion wont work for my tv antenna shows? I should just go tv antenna only im getting sick of channels playing the same show all day.


You can buy the new tivo premare. it has a hard drive meter on the main page.
