Hey all,
I'm two weeks into owning a Pioneer 1140 and love the tv.
I do have a few questions that I'm having trouble getting answers and figuring out.
Is there a way to tell what definition I am viewing? (480, 720, 1080,etc?)
Does the tv automatically adjust or is it a manual thing that needs to be set up?
What definition should my Xbox 360 be on this TV.
Here is my setup.
Pioneer 1140
Denon AVR-2807 receiver
Digital cable card from Cox
My receiver, Tivo, dvd player & Xbox 360 is in a near by closet. I use an RF remote to control all.
I have the tv run to the receiver with a 35' HDMI cable
I have the tv run to the receiver with a 35' optical cable for sound
My dvd player is hooked to the receiver with component cables
My Xbox 360 is hooked to the receiver with component & optical cables
My Tivo is hooked to the receiver with rca jacks (very poor picture) Another problem I cant figure out.
The other issue I have is that when watching TV, when there is any black back ground I get small white pixels flashing periodically through the black background at a rapid pace.
Any ideas?
My last problem is that I am unable to get any high def air antenna to work for my local channels.
I've tried two different antennas and both are in my attic nice and high.
It has to be something simple that I am missing.
