Ground loop problem & splitting HD signal

Here's my equipment: SIM2 HT250 projector; Yamaha RX-V2300 AV receiver; Zenith DirecTTV HD receiver HD-SAT520; Toshiba DVD player SD6980; and a 37" Vizio HDTV w/ built-in HD receiver. The HDTV is the most recent addition, which replaced my old Sony CRT. The set-up is designed to allow watching the smaller TV for normal viewing and the projector for movies and special events.
Problem #1: A ground loop recently developed. It doesn't look bad on the TV but looks horrible on the big screen. I have determined the cause: its the projector. The projector has its own wall outlet and breaker. When I unplug the projector, the lines either become very faint or disappear. How can I fix this problem?
Problem #2: I believe that only the projector is receiving HD signals. The picture on the Vizio does not take up the entire screen when viewing HD channels (both off-air and satellite). How can I split the signal and what components would you recommend? Thank you very much.

It sounds like the cable to the projector is picking up distortion and not hum ,
If you have the video cables running near power cables that might be the cause , or you have poorly shielded cables and you might need a better type or better shielded cable.

Ground loop? When you unplug the PJ are you disconnection both power and signal? What happens if you use component instead of DVI (or the reverse)?

Did you check the HUM FAQ?

If after in the end you conclude it is RF interference, you might try snap on ferrite beads. You often see them on computer cables and some display makers include them in the box. You can buy them from sources like http://www.palomar-engineers.com/Fer...ite_beads.html

HD Not-

The manual for your sat box says that you have to set the "Type" switch to for DVI or component. That implies that HP is only output over one or the other. If that's correct you will need an external switch box to feed HD to both the PJ and the TV.
