Here's my equipment: SIM2 HT250 projector; Yamaha RX-V2300 AV receiver; Zenith DirecTTV HD receiver HD-SAT520; Toshiba DVD player SD6980; and a 37" Vizio HDTV w/ built-in HD receiver. The HDTV is the most recent addition, which replaced my old Sony CRT. The set-up is designed to allow watching the smaller TV for normal viewing and the projector for movies and special events.
Problem #1: A ground loop recently developed. It doesn't look bad on the TV but looks horrible on the big screen. I have determined the cause: its the projector. The projector has its own wall outlet and breaker. When I unplug the projector, the lines either become very faint or disappear. How can I fix this problem?
Problem #2: I believe that only the projector is receiving HD signals. The picture on the Vizio does not take up the entire screen when viewing HD channels (both off-air and satellite). How can I split the signal and what components would you recommend? Thank you very much.
Joe
