I'm going to buy one or another of these this week. Both are experiencing good sales this week.
They'll be replacing a pair of Mirage OM10s as my mains. Right now my system is about 50/50 music/HT, but it is moving more towards music.
Complicating my decision is the fact that I have two SVS PB12 +/2 subs in the same room. I like the Strata minis better as a 2 channel music option, but I worry about having 4 powered subs in the same room. I know I don't need it, but I am leaning towards the minis as opposed to the refs because of the 2 channel/no sub listening that I enjoy. They are a little more money than the ref 1.8s, but not tons more.
I also think that one day soon I may set up a 2 channel only room - the stratas would probably win out there, but I'm not sure.
They'll be driven by outlaw monoblocks to start, but I can see tube amps in the nearer future.
About the tweeters - which speaker has the better upper end?
