We are aware that the recently released Crackdown DLC is causing some gamers to experience a reset of their saved games when they engage in co-op play. The team is working extremely hard to identify the issue and has provided steps to avoid the problem.

Simply follow these instructions:

1. Sign-in to Xbox Live
2. Start Crackdown and receive new Title Update (if you haven't already)
3. Begin a Single Player Campaign game
4. Once loaded, press Start and choose Quit
5. Reboot Crackdown (soft reboot or hard reboot of console)

By following the steps above, this will ensure that your Crackdown experience will be trouble-free. You will then be able to enjoy the new title update features, the Free-For-All DLC pack, as well as all the goodies found in the Getting' Busy Bonus Pack.

For more details on the contents of the title update, and both the free and premium downloadable content, please visit: http://crackdownoncrime.com/News/DLC+Fact+Sheet.htm

A permanent solution will be released with the game's next Title Update, which will be available in the very near future. NOTE: Unfortunately these steps will not restore an old saved file. There is no workaround for this. If this changes, we will post additional information in these forums in the future. We sympathize with those who may have lost their saved files. This was an unforeseen incident and the team has worked diligently to find a solution in the shortest amount of time possible.

I haven't had any problems so far. And for those of you still wondering, resetting the gangs does not affect your character stats, or things like orbs found and races completed. I tried it yesterday on sp and co-op.

My game is gone. Maxed out powers - all my races done - 494 green orbs and 279 blue orbs - ALL GONE! And after the Halo 3 demo is over, this game is gone too. I probably spent about 30 hours with this game. This is so messed up. If it wasn't for Gears I would sell both of my 360's tomorrow. F#ckers.

I had a similar problem when I sold my premium and had no memory card to transfer my saves, its not too big of a deal, I did it again in half the time....

$2 per hour minus however long you spend in Halo 3 beta seems pretty good to me.

I have this sinking feeling that I f'ed up! I played a co-op game with somebody after installing the DLC. Up until that point, I'd read that if you played the new stuff, then you could lose your data. I just played an online co-op with one of the guys on my FL and then quit the game. I've not put it back in to see if I have lost the game data. I'm afraid to do that now. I'd hate to think that I'd have to start all over again. I'd maxed out all my abilities, had 496 green orbs and 207 hidden orbs. The only achievements I had left to complete prior to the download were the stunt markers, the green orbs, the hidden orbs and the six stunts in 60 seconds. I'll have to check it out this afternoon when I get home from work. More later. . .

I was thinking about purchasing the premium DLC but had a few questions first. I assume the new cars will be available right away from the Agency garage, but what about the new weapons? Will they all be available right away from the supply points?

Will I have access to all the new weapons and vehicles in my existing campaign or do I have to start a new one?

Thanks!

^^^^

All new cars and weapons will be ready for you to use in your existing campaign.

Am I crazy or something? The 'Keys To the City' update is supposed to be available now right? I can't find it anywhere.

I do see the premium DLC for 800 points and I did get the title update when I loaded the game, but where the heck is 'keys to the city'??
It is there. It was right above the premium DLC in the marketplace. I accessed it from inside Crackdown.

In fact, the premium DLC and the keys to the city update are the same file. It is just that the premium stuff is locked if you don't buy it.
I think it's called the "free for all" pack or something like that.....it's not called Keys to the City, that's just a new option in the game once you download the DLC.

Thanks guys, I'll wash my eyeballs and double check for it tonight.

This game is garbage. Good thing I at least get a invite to the beta from this waste of a rental.

am i a little late to the party? lol

finished collecting all 500 green orbs. working on blue orbs (282 outta 300). havent done any racing or car driving so i need to start working that. maxed out agility, explosives, physical, gun accuracy. only need driving.

beat the game about 2 weeks ago (started playing it about 4 weeks ago), only sunday did i realize i could resurrect the gangs. so busy right now trying to do some of the acheivements only unlockable by killing gang members and such.

game is awesome btw. very addictive. wish there was an option to shut up the announcer dude though. when i was orb hunting (literally block by block, island by island) i turned up the tv volume so i can hear the "orb sound". when outta nowhere..."THAT WAS IMPRESSIVE AGENT!" i'd jump out of skin cause it'd be really late at night. LOL
post #376 of 385
Lol i did the same thing, turned the volume way up. What a sleeper hit that game was. Loved the game and the coop. I have maxed everything out and now looking for 2 more orbs. Havent played in awhile but may need to break it out soon.
green or blue?
If i remember correctly its a couple of green ones i was looking for. i havent done any of the races either. Lol now you have me wanting to go pop it in.
DO IT! lol

the green ones are the easiest of the two. they will, however, be in some seemingly impossible locations to find. they are always up high. on top of buildings, sctructures, bridges beams. some are in plain sight. they can all be seen from any vantage point.

the blue ones are the little devils that are inside smokestacks (volk area). generally "hidden". if you havent, i suggest do the agility races. they cover large areas of the cities and they often will show you some the hidden orbs and if you keep an ear open you could catch a lot of green orbs.

I loved Crackdown. I've just gotten the PS3 game Infamous and there are a lot of similarities with Crackdown. There are lots of 'shards' to locate around the city; you have super-powers; and you get to climb all over the buildings and jump around. Great stuff!
^i've heard that about infamous. the demo didnt impress me as you dont collect anything, rather just save a train and kill those demon things. i'd want to pick it up, but i have about 10 xbox games i need to open (thanks COD4!) and try, THEN i still need to pass the first stage of Metal Gear Solid and finish up Uncharted on the ps3.
Cant wait to play this again!

I have the disc somewhere, but lost it. Now that its free and a digital download, I'll definitely play it again.

Los Muertos. Here I come!
Still one of my favorites this gen. Will definitely be playing this again and again!
Replaying Crackdown 1 and 2 right now. smile.gif Still fun despite the simple nature of the game. The add-ons really complete the experience as opposed to the original games as shipped.
The 5.1 sound in the original is really, really good.
