How does Sports games played in daylight look on Plasma's?

Mainly baseball?

Do they make you feel like your at the ball park?

it's best to be able to control the lighting in the room somehow and also depends on your angle and seating arrangements.
dont know your setup but probably will be seeing some reflections and also may even look washed out compared to viewing in a controlled setup.

You can pretty much eliminate glare/reflections by tilting the display up at a 5 degree angle if you use a tilt mount, (at least that is the buzz going around). Even in the daylight though, with some glare, it still looks amazing IMO.

No I mean how does a day a game being played in the day time look? Not light in the room.

By the way I am getting the Pioneer 5070 this friday. Just hope I made the right choice.

It looks great. In terms of plasma picture quality, all that matters is the amount of ambient light in the room. If you have a lot of sunlight from open windows, picture quality will degrade; if you don't have open windows, or don't have a lot of light directly hitting the screen, then picture quality will be excellent, for both mid-day and evening sporting events.

LOL. When I read your OP, I thought you were talking about playing sports video games in a well light room.

Does it look like you're there? No, IMO. It looks like a very sharp, 3Dish image on your televison. Being there is smelling the peanuts, feeling the breeze, having your hand get cold from that $10 beer you just bought, hearing the birds making a nest up on one of the light poles. Etc.
Can you tell that I'm eagerly waiting for the spring training games to start?

This is going to be my first ever HDTV and I am soooooo looking forward to it.

Last thing maybe one of you great people could tell me. How is gaming on Plasma's I plan to get a PS3 someday.

the 5070 is an excellent choice. hope you got a great deal from one of the forum sponors, they have some really low pricing on the 5070 now.
a day game in HD watched on the plamsa should look great.
