I know all those four 1080p projectors are anybody's favorite in their home theaters across this planet.

I don't want to create another confusion or pro-cons, I just want to buy either one of those new 1080p projectors in the same price category to upgrade to the wonderful world of 1080p.

Which one I should buy, if my purchase decision (in 100% total) base on:

Brightness 50% ( 134" screen, need sun light to bright it up!)

Sharpness 25% ( HDTV movies tend to have soft picture)

Color 25% ( That is why we call it Color TV after all)

Any suggestion are most welcome!

Thanks

Thanks

Brightness 50%
TW1000 is likely the brightest of the four, but I've seen no published numbers other than Epsons

Sharpness 25%
Most likely the HC5000 followed by the tw1000

Color 25%
Not sure what you mean by color. If they are all perfectly calibrated there really should be only minor differences between the four. If you're looking for picture "punch"/"pop" higher lumen output will help.

I'm the happy owner of a tw1000, but I think most people will be happy with any of these projectors. I've seen the HC5000 on a 123 inch screen (dark room) and it looked great to me (don't know the gain of the screen in that particular set-up).

Good luck.

Everyone has a different list of major requirements - and you listed yours as Brightness, Sharpness and Color. I'm not trying to convince you otherwise, however I think most people would want to consider Contrast/Black Level in their top criteria.

A Bright picture with good Contrast can really POP.

Yes, contrast and deep black level is also important to me.

I have Sanyo Z4 for 1 year, it is a wonderful projector I must admit, that is why I bought it to replace my 10 years old Sony 3 CRT projector.
The only request left open to my Z4 is "25% more brightness".

Since now I am upgrading my HT to a full 1080p projector, that brightness will be my top priority.

After so many reviews and threads, I come to my own conclusion that all of the latest 1080hp projectors have about the same picture quality overall.
The only "weakness" I have to say is their brightness are only just good for screen size of 100" or smaller.

I have some Plasma too in my living room, when I "switch" my eyes from Plasma to Front Projector on 134" in my HT room, that 134" screen looks pretty "dark" to me, that is why I put brightness on top of everything else (other areas can equally achieve by all projectors, more or less).

To date all the 1080p LCD projector have only 1,000 Lumens brightness mostly. Only Epson TW1000 has 1,200 Lumens and that is on data sheet.

I'm looking to purchase one of these 1080p units as well and am concerned about brightness also. I have a 133" screen but it's a High Power 2.8 gain. Has anyone set any of these projectors with this type of screen? FYI: My current projector is about 19ft away from the screen (shelf mounted).
