Cary could be in a completely different situation than Emotiva concerning the Cirus chips, but in the absence of any information at all from Cary or my dealer I will assume they're in the same boat. An "official" update from Emotiva on the status of the decoders for them...http://emotivalounge.proboards54.com...ead=1205336857
"Early April we receive the final code set and chips from Cirrus." .... "Approvals from Dolby and DTS will be ongoing during final testing which should take roughly 2 to 3 weeks."
Notice that the Dolby and DTS approvals are expected to happen 2 to 3 weeks after they receive the chips in early April.
He goes on to elaborate on their schedule for assembling, testing and shipping their product which may have less of a correspondence with Cary as actually getting the chips and code. This info is a couple of weeks old and may have already changed.
Again, this is pure inference on my part as to how Cary is being affected. If someone had better information I'd be glad to hear it.
A pure guess on my part is we'll be lucky to see them in early June, about the same time Emotiva is guessing theirs will be ready. I'd love to be very very wrong.
