When will DVD Recorders with ATSC Tuners Hit the Market

Thread Starter
I'm trying to drop my cable company so I put up an outside directional tuner and pick up great digital signals from the major OTA channels here in Tucson. However, analog, not so much. I want to time shift by recording shows using a DVD but I can't find any that have an ATSC tuner.

I've tried the usual big box places and on line with no luck. I keep hearing there will be a March 1 drop dead date for import and distribution of non-ATSC tuner products. I realize retailers will sell out there existing stocks of NTSC tuner products but I'd have thought by late February something would be on the market.

Anyone know where I can find a DVD recorder with an ATSC tuner? It doesn't need to be HD if it's reasonably priced. I've also considered an HD DVR. In that forum the Sony DHG-HDD250/500 was recommended for OTA reception but it's been discontinued and the few I've seen run $750+.

Any suggestions are welcome.
