New Sharp LCDs at Costco

Thread Starter
Anyone have experience with the new Sharp LCDs at Costco? They have model numbers that I am not familiar with (i.e. 60C52U or something like that). The screen size is at the end of the part number.

Anyhow, these numbers are obviously Costco specific. Does anyone know what they compare to at other B&M stores? I am concerned about banding, but I am looking to get one for a second home. The 52" had an amazing price and the picture did not look too bad based on the standard Costco feed.

Help is appreciated.

I can't answer your question but since you mentioned Costco they have officially changed their return policy towards televisions. It's now 90 days.

Yip. It was on the news at 5PM here. I guess too many people returned their HDTV for better ones even after years so Costco has to do it. Hopefully, that would drive down the prices on the televisions soon. But it is still better than BB or CC, 30 days.

True, but many people like myself who are not members would have to pay a membership fee of $50 a year, over 4 years that's $200. So in a way it's about the same cost wise from BB or CC.

And that's why I am hoping the prices would go down soon if Costco wants to compete with the big boys like BB & CC.
