I was in BB today and saw a new product on the shelf and couldn't believe my eyes. I've been looking into getting an HDMI switcher because I have an HD DVD player, a PS3, a Denon upscaling DVD player, and a Sony 400 disc upscaling DVD player and only 2 HDMI inputs on my TV. There are plenty of these on the internet, but all very expensive and only 1.1 or 1.2 HDMI and not 1.3. The switcher is made by Psyclone and it states on the box; competition series 1.3 4 to 1 HDMI switcher and it only cost $199. I was about to shell out $300 for one that claims to be 1.3 HDMI, but 3 of the 6 inputs are DVI, which I no longer have the need for. I've heard of the company that makes these, but I always assumed they only made gamer gear. Well anyway, this thing is pretty cool and the display even matches the new XA2 with the blue and red lights around the buttons. I'm not an expert and I don't have any kind of testing equipment, but if anyone reads this tread and knows anyone with the ability and the need for one of these, to test this and tell everyone if it's a good product. I was just wondering if it's possible for it to corrupt the video or audio quality in the slightest. The video quality appears to be the same, but I've only had it plugged in for about an hour. It does have a gain function on the remote for decreasing grain in the picture due to long cables or poor quality cables. I think this just acts as a booster or equalizer. Anybody interested?
