National Geographic Channel HD just showed up in my D * guide as channel 77. No programing or info, just the guide listing!

Got it here too.

Shouldn't complain, but it wouldn't be anywhere near my first pick. Maybe Rupert is staking claim to the bandwidth before Malone uses it on StarzHD.

Title revised.

Now it's disappeared. Must of just been testing?

shows up in the guide for me to.
If you hit info, it says (on mine at least) 8:59p- 4/9 3:28 a.

Wonder if that means it will go live on April 9?
Cool. Hopefully it will go live soon.

I know there have been threads on this, but I've never paid attention since D* didn't have it yet--is this a full time HD channel? Or are there SD shows mixed in?

Yes that makes me feel real safe around 18 wheelers on the road.

I just saw it a few minutes ago here in Atlanta on my H10. Just about 2200 Eastern.

I'm not near as worried about you watching HD while you're driving, but I am concerned that you are posting on the AVS Forum while driving.

I've got it to on my HD Tivo. What might this mean?

Peace,

DM

How can he be on the road watching HD? It is more likely he is setting up his dish at a stationary site.
See it also.

I just wanna be the first person to say why are they wasting bandwidth on this channel when "insert channel here" is so much better.

I've been waiting for this channel for a year now...it's about time directv!
I have it in my guide on my HD-tivo 10-250, I thought the new HD channels were going to be on mpeg4 receivers only?(not complaining mind you).
I see it as well in my H20 and HD-Tivo guides. I guess D* is throwing us a bone and trying to live up to the 100 national HD channels by 2008.
Just saw it on my HR10-250 and thought I'd see if anyone knew what was going on. I'm glad to see it but I really didn't expect to.
Some channels have been removed 243 (America's store... guide says removed) and reelz has been moved. Maybe freeing up bandwitdh to pacify the non-baseball junkies with a few long awaited HD channels.

Correct.....set up the phase 3 at the truck stop..

Just curious...do they make an "in motion" dish that will do multisat????

No TV is in the sleeper....don't worry...but I have a PC mounted in the truck like the cops...navigation!!! and IM and of course AVS!!!!

Got the Sprint card.

Curiously the Guide Data doesn't match Dish network's guide data for NGC HD for that time on their website... I can't find that show any time during the week.
