So far i think it exceeds expectations, I love playing HD-DVDs especially the Dolby TrueHD tracks where possible. The STR-DG1000 is crisp and clean, even at high volumes.

I like the Auto Calibration feature with EQ on this a lot more then my DG800, makes for a more level and ideal surround environment.
