Relatively Inexpensive (110-118") High Gain Screen for PT-AX100U

I currently have an ez-Cinema Portable screen. Its way to bulky for my tastes, so Id like a pull down screen. Ceiling recessed would be a plus if I had that option, but not COMPLETELY necessary.

The screen that I currently have has a gain of 1.1, and its pretty nice at that gain. I like the viewing angles, since I can view it anywhere I so choose. (Meaning 90 degrees even if im looking at a paper slip )

However, sometimes I have cases of extreme sunlight (No ambient light, Sunlight), that Id like to combat. Therefore, Id like a 1.3-1.5 gain screen that will give me close to that viewing angle of the 1.1 gain so my projector can pump out the fL at the screen Im projecting it onto.

Id probably like something to give me more pop out of my picture, so will the high contrast gray be better than the white to give me more pop, as in a DLP?

Also, The Projector is 11' 3" from the Screen. Lens to Screen. How big of an image can I project? It is a PT-AX100U. I currently have it at 100" at around 1.7 zoom, and thats why I want the gain of the screen a bit higher to make the image bigger and not sacrifice fL.

Any reccomendations?

Thanks!

Commex,

I'm in the same situation you were when you posted this. I was wondering if you received a response or what screen you ended up going with and how it worked out for you. Thanks.

No response as of yet.

I actually changed my room, and Im now probably going to go with a High Gain Fixed DIY Screen.
