Hello, I have a new samsung 56" 1080 TV.
What's is perplexing me is this. I still have the old usual digital box for now. I have the digital cable out (audio) hooked up to the digital coax on my sony receiver and I use to get 5.1 from some of the movie channels.
since I hooked up the TV, I no longer get 5.1 but 2.0. All I did was replace the TV and hook up the coax cable to the cable in (video) on the TV.
Nothing else changed. I can't figure this out.
Now, when I order HDTV and get a new box, will it have an optical out for my receiver? Or how can I get it to work with my receiver for movies in DTS and or 5.1?
Also, my receiver is fine, DTS, 5.1 still work for dvd movies.
