Newbie has a question

Hi guys! I am in the process of finishing up the last leg of my basement home theater/cigar smoking room and have a question. The rough-in is nearly complete and insulation and drywall will be going up soon. Here's my situation:

I have roughed in for a ceiling mount projector (probably the Sanyo PLV-Z5) and had a wiring question. I currently have Directv and Direcway internet service. I was wondering if it was possible to split one of my current cables running to an upstairs bedroom TV, and run the projector off of this. Will this work or do I need to run a completely different cable for the projector?

Thanks in advance for any help you may have to offer!

You will need to run another line, in order to change channels independent of the upstairs TV. This will, of course, require another receiver for the projector.
