Building new system - Polk Monitor 70

Hey guys, as the title says, I am building a new system. My good friend has a pair of Monitor 70's that I love so dearly. I would like to build around these speakers, and wanted a few opinions from you guys.

I plant to get to 5.1 eventually, but will have to wait for now. I will mainly be using this setup for music and an ocassional DVD.

I have a Denon AVR-1907 amp already. Do you guys think this amp is a good fit? I know it only puts out 85x7, but I really dont want to part with this amp. I cant really test my amp with my friends speakers since he lives out of state. I can always upgrade the amp later, but it has all of the inputs/outputs I could ever want. Any opinions? Thanks.

i have an all polk 5.2 system...my center is a CSi5, front left and right are LSi7's, and the surrounds are the FXi5's...my subs are both Velodyne DLS5000r's...granted i dont have the same left and right speakers you have but just about all polks, at least to my ears, sound very good...ive heard the monitor 70's and almost bought them but decided on the LSi7's instead.

if your mostly going to be listening to music then those speakers are definately a good fit...if you want to go all polk on your system the center and surrounds i have will get the job done very well when you watch the occasional dvd...of course there are a million different ways you can go with speakers and it just all depends on what you like
