What projector will work for me?

I've been looking and looking, and this is a certainly exciting time to be getting into PJs. I don't have to have one until this fall, as my theater room is still just framed and I'll be working on other areas of the basement first.

I'll try and describe my room setup, and if I leave anything out that would be helpful, please ask.

Budget: up to 2k
Room size: 19' 9"x 12' 8" x 7' 9"
Lighting: controlled, no windows
Would like to have: vertical stretch for 2.35 (no scaler), relatively quiet fan since it will probably have to be mounted directly over the heads of the people sitting in the 2nd row, darkchip3 would be good to.
720p is ok, which is a given at this budget level
Some amount of warranty would be good as well.

I've looked at the Infocus IN76, the Mitsubishi 3100 (off of ebay), and I've heard about this new Sony coming out too.

So what do you think?

I am not sure if Sony will do V. stretch for CH format. At least not the current ones.
Other than that you also should give the Epson and Sharp 3000 a good look.

I don't know if picking up a pre-owned SIM2 projector would be worthwhile as well. They are pretty pricey brand new (not that they aren't worth it) but I think it might be what I'm looking for as well (Domino?)

I'll take a look at the Epson (I think there was one model I heard good things about), and the Sharp, which I hadn't considered yet.

Thanks!
