As mentioned in another thread a few days ago, I picked up a 42" Sharp Aquos to replace my 32" that died as the result of a fire. While I loved my 32", so far I haven't really been wowed by the 42". It seems much more difficult to get it dialed in correctly, SD channels look mediocre to bad for the most part, HD channels often look pretty good but there seems to be a fair amount of motion blur the 32 didn't seem to have, and the picture seems a bit soft compared to the razor sharp 32. Question 1--is it true the 42" Sharp's are actually outsourced and built by someone else? Is the 37" made by Sharp? Does it matter if one uses a cable card or a cable box (I assume it doesn't matter but who knows).
Also, why do I never seem to hear much about the Toshiba sets? Sony's and Samsungs seem to have as many or more problems reported as the Sharp, how about the Toshiba 42" Cinema Series Pro? How does it compare to the Sharp/Sony models? For the Sony I'm looking at the V series not the more expensive Bravia's--I can handle 1 less HDMI hookup and a more basic case.
Thanks!
