B&W 601 S3s : Custom Stand Photo's

Long time, no post!

I am back on the forums searching for an amp or receiver (NAD 320BEE? NAD 720? Rotel RX1050?)

Anyhow, I am thrilled with my B&Ws. Here they are sitting on their custom made stands. Note the huge WAF for ya'll out there with that concern!

Ingredients:

IKEA 11" Terra Cotta Pot
IKEA Cutting Board
2" PVC
Sand
Concrete

Construction:

Thread rod is run through the PVC, sandwiching the cutting board, pipe and pot. Pot is filled approx. half way to the top with concrete. Remaining room is potting mix with extra moisture conglomerates as drainage is non-existant. PVC is sand filled. Substantial, hefty stands.

Inspiration:

I love the Sorrento finish. The grey, light wood finish and kevlar cone make sounding great look awesome, too. Daff's were on sale. Like how the flower matches the flower of the kevlar cone. A shade grass will eventually be grown in these. My media room is a mix of nature and technology.

very interesting--not my personal tastes with the daffodils, but the grass thing could be cool. i remember you posting some shots of these when you first got the 601's. kudos on the imagination and uniqueness of your idea.

one thing i might do is to lose the black strp which i assume is holding the wire in place. you might try another smaller tube split and painted the same color epoxied on the back of the main tube so as to look cleaner.

nice one.

Actually the Daff is being held by the zip tie right now. It is a leaner.

They should last long enough to get some germination. Beats having just a bucket of dirt right now.

The face is because you are jealous of creativity?

if so, his signature is quite ironic.

Thanks Guys.

Can't wait for some golf course quality rough grass to be filling those pots.

Until then the flowers sure are purty.
